Ring In Your New Years With Purple

New Year's Eve is one of the biggest celebrations of the year and this annual event is ideal for serving impressive drinks. Here at Purpleologist, we want you to ring in the New Year in a purple kind of way. We have put together a cocktail menu that will start off your 2016 positively purple! 

After the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping and Christmas cooking it is time to wind down with the following cocktail suggestions.

1.  Hopefully it does not rain on your New Year's Eve Party, but with this first cocktail, your party is sure to be      a big hit.

Purple Rain

  • 1-1/2 oz grape vodka
  • 1/2 oz cranberry juice
  • 1/2 oz sour mix
  • splash club soda
  • slice of lime for garnish
Directions
  • Shake grape vodka, cranberry juice and sour mix with ice in a cocktail shaker.
  • Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  • Top with a splash of club soda and garnish with a lime wedge.

2.  Add a BIT of purple to your night!!!

Bit o Berry Rita Cocktail

  • 1-1/2 oz Pucker Berry Fusion Schnapps
  • 1-1/2 oz silver tequila
  • 1/4 oz Raspberry Schnapps
  • 1/4 oz Triple Sec
  • 1-1/2 oz sour mix

Directions

  • Shake all ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker.
  • Strain into a margarita glass with crushed ice.

3.  Don't monkey around on New Year's Eve, party with purple!

Grape Ape

  •  2 oz grape vodka
  • lemon lime soda
  • splash sour mix
  • Mint for garnish
  • Lemon wedge for garnish

Directions

  • Add grape vodka and fill with lemon-lime soda over ice.
  • Top with a splash of sour mix, then garnish with mint and a lemon wedge.

4.  Escape 2015 and move into 2016

Grape Escape

  • 2-1/2 oz grape vodka
  • 1-1/2 oz sour mix
  • splash Raspberry Liqueur

Directions

  • Add grape vodka and sour mix over ice.
  • Top with a splash of raspberry liqueur and stir gently.

5.  Drive Responsibly with an alcohol free frozen dream

The Designated Driver

  • 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
  • one banana
  • 5 oz of vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 to 1 cup of apple juice

Directions

  • Combine above ingredients and blend.

Don't forget to compliment your cocktails with purple glassware!
