Do you love purple? We at PURPLEologist know it’s time to start thinking about Halloween; why not include purple as part of the celebration? Halloween is not just orange and black anymore.

There is no limit on costume ideas that include purple. Both men, women and children alike can incorporate our favorite color as part of their halloween attire.

For our little trick or treaters the options are unlimited, but here are a few of our favorites.

• Purple minions are at the top of everyone's list this year. Who could blame them after their summer blockbuster?
• Don’t forget about our beloved Disney characters such as Rapunzel, Jasmine or the evil Maleficent.
• With the return of Star Wars coming soon, a purple lightsaber would be a sure way to make your kiddo a hit amongst purple enthusiast.
• Rest assured, the little ones won’t be the only ones out and about showing off their purple costumes.

Purple Halloween Decoration

Here are some ideas to take 'purple to the max' and decorate everything purple!

• Christmas lights are not only for Christmas. A couple of sets of purple lights can go a long way. Add a few scary black crows and giant spiders and your house will be the talk of the town.
• As mentioned earlier, purple is the new orange. Paint your pumpkins purple. Lets update these pumpkins, it's a new era and purple is taking over.
• Every good door needs to stand out with a decorative wreath. Lace your wreath in black and purple ribbon. Spray paint pine cones and add some of those mini purple pumpkins. If you are starting to feel sorry for orange, go ahead and glue on some candy corn.
• Add a little music to the decor and play “The Purple People Eater” in the background as you hand out candy.

When discussing halloween, scary cannot go without being mentioned. Combine scary and purple and what comes to mind? The creepiest super-villain and master criminal of epic proportion. He has been around for more than 70 years tormenting us with his devious acts. He dons a PURPLE suit and has smile that will send goosebumps from head to toe. He is none other than the JOKER. So if this halloween you see a man wandering the streets in a purple suit, take precaution and hope you have your purple glittered fairy dust...
